NASA ROADS seeks to engage students in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) that parallels the Mars 2020 effort, while honoring the heroism of the Apollo 13 astronauts, and the vision for the future of humans exploring the solar system.

Teachers will learn about the NASA ROADS summer challenge, work with drones, Lego EV3s, and much more. Teachers will land a "lander" on the surface of Mars and use an EV3 to traverse across the Mars landscape collecting "soil samples." Teachers will be able to complete the challenge themselves and use it as a summer program.
